About Richard Goldman

Together, We Can Do Better.

Meet Richard

Richard Goldman lives in Dresden with his wife Linda Hermans and their dog Leo. He is a retired attorney who spent his career practicing bankruptcy, environmental law, and government and administrative law out of Augusta. He and Linda have three grown children: Rachel, Ben, and Wendy.

For decades, Richard helped families, small businesses, and towns navigate the legal system. He saw the difference between a government that actually works for the people who live under it and one that does not. That experience is why he is running for the Maine House.

What Richard Stands For

Small business experience. Richard ran his own law practice in Augusta for decades. He knows what it takes to make payroll, pay property tax, and keep the lights on. He will bring that practical experience to the State House.

Focused on working families. Every vote Richard casts will be measured against one question: does this help the families of Chelsea, Dresden, Pittston, and Randolph?

Truthful and honest leadership. No scripted talking points. No hiding from hard questions. Richard will tell you where he stands, even when it is unpopular.

Why Richard Is Running

Richard is running because Chelsea, Dresden, Pittston, and Randolph deserve a representative who will do the reading, show up for the hearings, and tell voters the truth about what is possible. Property taxes keep climbing. Rural healthcare keeps shrinking. Working families keep getting squeezed. Richard has spent a career cutting through red tape for people the system forgets. He will do the same in Augusta.

Running Clean

Richard is running as a Maine Clean Elections candidate. That means he does not take corporate money or large private donations. If you are a registered voter in Chelsea, Dresden, Pittston, or Randolph, you can help him qualify with a $5 contribution. Learn how to support the campaign.
