Volunteer
This campaign runs on neighbors. A conversation at the hardware store is worth more than any mailer. If you have five minutes or five hours, there is a role for you.
Ways to help
- Knock doors. Saturday mornings in all four towns. Richard will be out there too.
- Make calls. Phone bank from your kitchen table. We will train you.
- Host a coffee. Invite 10 neighbors. We bring the donuts and Richard brings the answers.
- Put up a yard sign. Drive traffic to the campaign, not just a name on a stick.
- Write a letter to the editor. Local papers still move votes in District 53.
- Join the email list. Short, occasional updates from the trail.
- Give $5. If you are a registered voter in Chelsea, Dresden, Pittston, or Randolph, your $5 qualifying contribution helps Richard qualify for Clean Elections public financing. See details below.
Help qualify the campaign with a $5 contribution
Richard is running as a Maine Clean Elections candidate. He does not accept corporate money, PAC money, or large private donations. His accountability is to the voters of District 53 and no one else.
If you are a registered voter in Chelsea, Dresden, Pittston, or Randolph, a $5 qualifying contribution helps Richard meet the threshold for public financing. Every contribution counts the same, whether you own a farm or rent a room.
Why Clean Elections matters
- No corporate money. Richard cannot be bought by a lobbyist, because there is nothing to buy.
- No big donors. Your $5 is worth exactly as much as anyone else’s.
- Full transparency. Every contribution is reported to the Maine Ethics Commission.
- More time for voters. Richard spends his time at your door, not on fundraising calls.
Not a registered voter in the district? You can still help. Sign up below to volunteer, host a meet-and-greet, or share the campaign with neighbors who do live in Chelsea, Dresden, Pittston, or Randolph.
